“Medical implant-grade continuous carbon fiber reinforced polyether ether ketone” scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting
On April 2, 2026, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) organized experts in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province to hold the scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting for the “Key Technologies for Industrial Preparation of Medical Implant-Grade Continuous Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polyether Ether Ketone Composite Materials,” undertaken by Jiangsu Junhua HPP Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Junhua HPP”), Shandong Junhao High Performance Polymer Co., Ltd., and Changzhou Junhua Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Junhua Medical”).
Attendees at the appraisal meeting included Li Wenjun, researcher from the CPCIF Science and Technology Department; the appraisal committee (composed of experts from multiple well-known domestic universities and professional institutions, including: Professor Wang Guibin from Jilin University, Researcher Qi Zhenchao from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Professor Zhou Hongqing from Nanjing Tech University, Professor Lin Bencai from Changzhou University, Researcher Wu Qingzhi from Wuhan University of Technology, Associate Professor Zhang Yunfeng from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Senior Engineer Zhang Bo from Shandong Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical Packaging Inspection Institute); Li Jun, Chairman of Junhua HPP; Feng Xi, Vice General Manager and Board Secretary; and the R&D Director.
Li Wenjun, researcher from the CPCIF Science and Technology Department, announced the start of the meeting and introduced the attendees. The appraisal committee chair, Professor Wang Guibin, on behalf of all members of the appraisal committee, expressed gratitude to the project completion units for their trust in the CPCIF and the expert panel. Chairman Li Jun delivered a welcome speech, Vice General Manager Feng Xi introduced the company’s overview, and the R&D Director provided a comprehensive explanation of the project.
The appraisal committee listened to the reports presented by the project completion units, reviewed the appraisal materials, and after questioning and discussion, fully affirmed and highly evaluated the scientific and technological achievements of the product. The committee concluded that the product’s technical level is internationally advanced and approved the passage of the scientific and technological achievement appraisal.
