PEEK5600CF30 rods (polyetheretherketone carbon fiber rods) are semi-finished profiles extruded from PEEK reinforced with 30% carbon fiber. PEEK5600CF30 rods offer superior high-temperature resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and excellent mechanical properties, while maintaining electrical conductivity. They can be used to manufacture high-wear-resistant and pressure-resistant mechanical PEEK parts for harsh operating environments, such as PEEK gears, PEEK bearings, PEEK valve seats, and PEEK seals. Parts processed from PEEK rods are widely used in key components in aerospace, medical devices, electronic semiconductors, biopharmaceutical equipment, and new energy vehicles.

PEEK Continuous Extrusion Bars

Continuously extruded PEEK rods are widely used in machining products requiring small batches of large sizes or where injection molding or other processes cannot meet the requirements. PEEK rods in diameters ranging from 3 to 300 mm can be extruded, with lengths typically 1000 mm, 2000 mm, and 3000 mm. We have nearly a hundred different diameter extrusion dies available, with a complete range of specifications and a year-round stock.

Performance advantages of PEEK bars

High temperature resistance: It has a high glass transition temperature (Tg=143℃) and melting point (Tm=343℃), its load heat distortion temperature is as high as 316℃, and its instantaneous service temperature can reach 320℃.

Mechanical properties: It has both rigidity and flexibility, and its fatigue resistance under alternating stress is particularly outstanding, comparable to that of alloy materials.

Self-lubricating properties: It has excellent sliding characteristics and is suitable for applications that require low coefficient of friction and wear resistance. In particular, PEEK modified with a mixture of carbon fiber and graphite in certain proportions has better self-lubricating properties.

Corrosion resistance: Except for concentrated sulfuric acid, PEEK is insoluble in any solvent, strong acid, or strong alkali at room temperature. It is also resistant to hydrolysis, has very low water absorption, and has high chemical stability.

Flame retardancy: It is self-extinguishing and can reach the UL standard of 94V-0 even without the addition of any flame retardant.

Processability: It can be processed in a variety of ways, such as injection molding, extrusion molding, compression molding and melt spinning.

Peel resistance: It has excellent peel resistance, so it can be made into very thin-walled wires or magnets and can be used under harsh conditions.

Fatigue resistance: It has the best fatigue resistance among all resins.

Radiation resistance: It has a very strong ability to withstand high radiation, exceeding that of polystyrene, which has the best radiation resistance among general-purpose resins. It can be made into a high-performance resin that still maintains good insulation properties when exposed to gamma radiation doses up to 1100 Mrad.

Hydrolysis resistance: PEEK and its composites are not chemically affected by water and high-pressure steam. Products made from this material can maintain excellent properties even after continuous use in high-temperature and high-pressure water.

Safe and environmentally friendly: PEEK has low smoke emission and low toxic gas emission: Like many organic materials, PEEK mainly produces carbon dioxide and water when it decomposes at high temperatures.

Electrical properties: It has excellent electrical insulation properties, which are maintained over a very high temperature range. Its dielectric loss is also very low at high frequencies.

Dimensional stability: PEEK has a small coefficient of thermal expansion, and changes in environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity have little impact on the dimensions of PEEK parts, which can meet the requirements of use in working conditions with high dimensional accuracy.

PEEK extrusion production line

PEEK rods: Diameter 3~300mm  ×  1000/3000mm (length can be customized upon request) (If the above specifications are not met, our company can supply the product size, length and width specifications for cutting to order).

Junhua’s second European-imported PEEK bar continuous extrusion production line has been installed , resulting in more stable extrusion and higher production efficiency. It is suitable for large-scale continuous and stable production of PEEK bars, helping Junhua improve delivery time and reduce production costs.

Higher production efficiency
comprehensively improves the production efficiency of PEEK bars, increasing it by 300-400% of the original efficiency, thus ensuring on-time delivery of customer orders and improving customer satisfaction.

More stable quality
automated production greatly reduces the impact of other factors on production. The mass production of PEEK bars is stable and reliable, and the color, appearance and internal quality are more advantageous in domestic and foreign markets.

Lower losses and production costs:
The new equipment system saves production time, manpower and maintenance costs, and improves every aspect of the original production process, resulting in lower losses and production costs.

Junhua has been continuously expanding its PEEK product manufacturing capabilities, introducing advanced production lines and technologies, and optimizing its factory’s PEEK production lines. Junhua will leverage its advanced R&D technology and processing capabilities to provide you with higher quality and more cost-effective PEEK products, better product solutions, and together we will propel PEEK towards a broader and brighter future!

Commonly used grades and properties of EEK rods

PEEK is a high-temperature thermoplastic with a high glass transition temperature (143℃) and melting point (334℃), and a load-bearing heat distortion temperature as high as 316℃ (30% glass fiber or carbon fiber reinforced grades).

1. PEEK 5600G (brownish-gray/yellowish-brown) is manufactured using pure polyetheretherketone resin as raw material. It boasts the best toughness and impact resistance among all PEEK grades. Pure PEEK can be easily sterilized using methods such as steam, dry heat, ethanol, and gamma rays. Furthermore, the raw materials used in manufacturing PEEK comply with EU and US FDA regulations regarding food safety. These characteristics make it widely applicable in the medical, pharmaceutical, and food processing industries.

2. PEEK5600LF30 (black) is a bearing-grade plastic resulting from the addition of PTFE, graphite, and carbon fiber. Its superior tribological properties (low coefficient of friction, wear resistance, and high peak pressure limit) make it an ideal material for this grade of friction applications.

3. PEEK 5600GF30 (brownish-gray): This material is a reinforced plastic filled with 30% glass fiber. It offers better rigidity and creep resistance than regular PEEK, as well as superior dimensional stability, making it ideal for manufacturing structural parts. It can withstand fixed loads for extended periods at high temperatures. However, if PEEK 5600GF30 is used as a sliding component, its suitability should be carefully tested, as the glass fiber can scratch the mating surfaces.

4. PEEK5600CF30 (Black): This material is filled with 30% carbon fiber reinforcement, which has better mechanical properties (higher elastic modulus, mechanical strength and creep) and is more wear-resistant than PEEK5600GF30. Moreover, the carbon fiber reinforced plastic has 3.5 times the thermal conductivity and dissipates heat from the bearing surface faster than the unreinforced PEEK plastic.
