12th Engineering Plastics Application Development Forum

Changzhou, Jiangsu

On May 28, 2026, the 12th Engineering Plastics Application Development Forum, hosted by Aibang Polymers, was successfully held in Changzhou, Jiangsu. As a co-organizer of this event, Junhua HPP Chairman Li Jun delivered the opening speech. The conference brought together experts, technical engineers, and representatives from well-known enterprises across the engineering plastics industry chain to discuss industry challenges and breakthrough pathways, strengthen technical exchanges, and promote upstream and downstream cooperation.

01 Presentation Sharing

JHFRTP Composites delivered an excellent presentation.

01“Breakthrough Applications of High-Performance CF/PEEK Composites in Frontier Fields” Deputy Head of JHFRTP Composites, Zhang Lei

Based on the performance characteristics of polyetheretherketone resin, combined with the molding methods of long carbon fiber reinforced PEEK materials and the molding equipment and processes for continuous carbon fiber reinforced PEEK, the frontier applications of PEEK and its composites were analyzed, such as aerospace, medical devices, petrochemicals, and new energy.

The AKSOPEEK LCF Medical Implant-Grade Continuous CF/PEEK Prepreg was successfully prepared via the slurry method, and multiple molding processes such as long fiber needle-punched preform, compression molding, stamping, and in-situ laser consolidation AFP (Automated Fiber Placement) were achieved. Among them, aerospace components such as C-beams and stiffeners manufactured using the AFP process can reduce the number of fasteners, achieving weight reduction of about 10% and cost reduction of about 20%.

In addition, for stringent requirements such as medical devices, the AKSOPEEK LCF Medical Implant-Grade Continuous CF/PEEK Material developed by Junhua HPP has passed relevant international and domestic standards certifications and completed NMPA and FDA master file registrations.

02“Innovative Applications of PEEK in Humanoid Robots” R&D Manager of Robot Division, Junhua HPP, Wang Zenan

Mainly introduces PEEK (polyetheretherketone) high-performance engineering plastic as a key material that can address the core challenges of lightweighting, endurance, agility, and safety faced by humanoid robots, and details Junhua HPP’s innovative application solutions across the entire robot system.

He analyzed the application value of PEEK material in core components such as joint reducers (cycloidal, harmonic, planetary), transmission parts, dexterous hands, structural frames, housings, and sensors/circuits, and emphasized the important role of CF/PEEK composites and PEEK 3D printing technology in further achieving extreme lightweighting and complex structural design.

Finally, he believes that the application of PEEK material in humanoid robots is expected to see trends such as localized cost reduction, functional compounding, and large-scale injection molding and integrated forming.

02 Booth Highlights

Continuous 1000-meter CF/PEEK Prepreg Tape

Traditional CF/PEEK unidirectional tapes, limited by process bottlenecks, often only provide discontinuous products of tens to hundreds of meters, with frequent joints, performance fluctuations, and low efficiency plaguing the industry. 1000 meters is not just a simple accumulation of numbers; it is a revolutionary leap in thermoplastic prepreg manufacturing technology.

Innovative Applications of PEEK in Humanoid Robots

Junhua HPP directly addresses the core material pain points of humanoid robot transmissions and joints, presenting PEEK precision wear-resistant gears, lightweight reduction solutions covering all types of motor reducers, 3D-printed PEEK elbow frames, and various humanoid robot joint connectors, showcasing the robust application strength of special polymer materials in the intelligent robot field.

03 Visits and Exchanges

Numerous industry customers, R&D engineers, and industry chain partners visited Junhua HPP, toured the exhibition hall and production factory, conducted in-depth exchanges on topics such as CF/PEEK composites and humanoid robot applications, reached multiple cooperation intentions and technical alignment consensus, efficiently connected upstream and downstream resources, and expanded the industrial cooperation landscape!

The 12th Engineering Plastics Application Development Forum in Changzhou has concluded successfully, marking both a showcase of achievements and a new starting point. In the future, the company will continue to deeply cultivate the field of high-end special polymer materials such as PEEK and PI, leverage innovative materials to accelerate industrial development, and join hands with industry partners to expand the future of the PEEK industry!
