The precise slurry preparation process is the core support for achieving stable production of JHFRTP®CF/TPI-UD. We use ultra-fine TPI powder (particle size D50 ≤ 20 μm) specially developed by Junhua HPP for thermoplastic unidirectional prepreg tapes, combined with special dispersing aids, to prepare a stable water-based slurry system. During production, the carbon fiber tow is evenly spread by a spreading device and precisely formed through multiple processes including impregnation, drying, pre-melting, and flat plate shaping. Process parameters are strictly controlled throughout to ensure stable quality.

Compared to the traditional hot-melt method, our slurry process offers significant advantages: TPI resin wets, coats, and disperses carbon fibers more thoroughly, reducing tape porosity and improving interfacial bonding. The production line is equipped with online concentration detection, tension adjustment, and thickness feedback systems, ensuring the carbon fiber content by mass is stably maintained in the optimal range of 62%–67%, with thickness tolerance precisely controlled within ±0.02 mm, significantly exceeding industry standards.

Secondly, the winding system features adaptive tension control technology.
